How to Recognise Them
- Asks about details, risks, and backup plans.
- Watches and tests people for a while before trusting them.
- Has a strong stance on authority: either leans on it or questions it.
- Complains about uncertainty, unclear rules, and people who don't keep their word.
- Needs to share their worries and talks through out loud what could go wrong.
- Reacts defensively to criticism and sometimes looks for a hidden agenda behind it.
- Prefers to spend free time with trusted friends or with a group they belong to.
Who They Get Confused With
Sixes differ a lot from one another. A more fearful Six can look like a Five or a Nine, while a counterphobic Six who heads straight towards risk can look like an Eight or a Seven. That makes it one of the hardest strategies to recognise. Caution and defiance have many causes, and no single trait settles it. What they share lies beneath the surface: the effort to find security in a world that feels unreliable. And that is something only the person themselves can know for sure.
How to Deal With Them
- Be predictable and stick to agreements.
- Take their worries seriously and discuss them matter-of-factly.
- Explain your reasons; don't expect blind trust.
- When they doubt themselves, remind them of what they've already handled.
