They suppress their own appetites for the good of the group and an ideal. They have ideals and enthusiasm, help gladly, and want to come across as a good person. At first glance they can be mistaken for the Altruist.
Social Sevens suppress their own appetites for the good of the group and an ideal. They want to be seen as good people who don't think only of themselves. They're idealistic, enthusiastic, and love to help. Of all Sevens, they least resemble a typical Seven, because they go against the Seven's appetite for more of everything.
At first glance they can be confused with a Two, because they care so much about others. Underneath, though, is Seven energy: optimism, ideas, and the drive to change the world for the better. They deny themselves pleasures so they won't look selfish, and get excited about a good cause instead.

What the social instinct is
Attention turns to the group: who belongs to it, what status and role each person has, what matters in society. People with this instinct in first place pick up on the relationships between people, like getting involved in teams and communities, and care about what they contribute.
