How they're connected
They're neighboring strategies, so each can be the other's wing. They have a lot in common and often understand each other without explanation.
Both strategies belong to the same center (head center), so they deal with a similar theme, each in its own way.
What draws them together
Both the Six and the Seven are among the "fear" strategies, but they handle anxiety in completely different ways. The Six is visibly cautious, the Seven carefree. The Seven dispels fear with backup plans and may unconsciously rely on the Six to express the anxiety for them. Both fill in reality with an image of how things will turn out; they just reach opposite conclusions.
The Seven's zest for life is an antidote to the Six's doubts. A Six who stays loyal even in hard times, in turn, heals a Seven who dreads pain.
Where they click
- The Six brings loyalty and stability, the Seven joy.
- The Seven teaches the Six not to be afraid and to enjoy life.
- The Six teaches the Seven responsibility and perseverance.

Where the friction is
- The Six wants guarantees, the Seven hates being pinned down.
- The Six sees the Seven's detours as betrayal.
- The Seven brushes off the Six's worries and thereby amplifies them.

Working together
Both can change their minds quickly. The Six doubts, the Seven gets distracted by ideas. There's a risk of endless meetings and procrastination. Both also live in the future: the Six averts catastrophes, the Seven plans visions. When they listen to each other, a balance emerges.

The two of you, specifically
This is only a general description of the Six and Seven pairing. The Couples Guide goes deeper: you both take the Quick Test, and the guide works with your subtypes. The self-preservation, social, and one-to-one versions of the same strategy behave completely differently in a relationship.
